Even though Morse code is no longer a requirement for obtaining an amateur license, it’s still alive and a widely used mode of operation, especially in low power setups. Anyone that is interested in Morse code are welcome to join us for our weekly code class.

AT LAST! WAARC is having Morse Code Classes again. Our leader in this endeavor is Don, N4DJ. The classes are held each Thursday night at 7:00 PM and last a bit over an hour. You should bring paper and pencil or pen to copy the code. A laptop may be used if you must. The location is: 116 Barlows Run, Williamsburg, VA 23188.

A map that will allow you to get specific directions appears below.

If you are anxious and just can’t wait, the following link is an excellent alternative site for learning morse code for amateur use.

From beginners to experienced code operators looking to build up speed, code class is a great way to learn Morse code or practice using it before getting on the air.
