Colonial Williamsburg Special Event This Saturday
In honor of the Independence Day Holiday, WAARC will commemorate the 249th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with our Williamsburg Special Event station.
This event is part of the club’s Historic Triangle Special Event series. If you make contact with all three, you are eligible for a special certificate. For 2025, if you make contact with all three special event stations this year we have a limited-edition certificate in honor of WAARC’s 50th Anniversary.
If you would like to work K4RC, we will be on the air from 10am-4pm. Planned operating frequencies are 7.265 MHz +/- QRM for 40m, and 14.265 MHz +/- QRM on 20m. We will do our best to get on the spotting cluster. **We are not a part of the annual 13 Colonies Special Event**
If you are planning to come out to the event, we will be operating from the picnic shelter at Quarterpath Park, 202 Quarterpath Road in Williamsburg. Setup will begin around 8:30am with the intent to be on the air by 10am. There will be snacks and cold water provided by the club’s food committee. The park is also down the street from Old City Barbeque, a favorite dining spot for many club members.
We look forward to hearing you on the air, or seeing you on Saturday!
