About the club
Welcome to the Williamsburg Area Amateur Radio Club. The club was founded in 1977, and is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League, the national association of amateur radio operators. While an amateur license is required for full voting membership in the club, unlicensed individuals are invited to join as associate members.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the James City County Library at 7770 Croaker Road, Williamsburg. Regular programs of interest follow short business meetings, which are open to all Amateur Radio operators, friends, and families. Refreshments are served. Anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio is welcome and encouraged to attend.
The next club meeting will be held on December 10, at 7PM. It will be the club's Hardware night, members that have equipment or ham radio gear they would like to sell or offer up for raffle are encouraged to do so. Everyone interested is invited to come and take a look at what's available.
A special VE Testing session will be held on December 7th at 9:30 AM at Thomas Nelson Community College on Opportunity Way, off of Centerville Road. More information can be found on the Testing Sessions page.
